American tennis professional Serena Williams is a worldwide sensation not only for her on-court performance, but also for her off-court activity. Serena isn’t only about remarkable tennis – off-court acting, fashion and philanthropy are also amongst her passions. Here are some of the interesting facts about the tennis queen:

She has 69 single titles. 22 doubles titles and two mixed doubles titles. 21 Grand Slams, 6 US opens, 3 French open, and 6 Australian opens.
Serena Williams was born in Michigan. She began playing tennis at the age of 3. Her father relocated the family to Compton, California and was home – schooled. According to her father’s autobiography, he reasoned that the difficult environment in Compton would “make them tough, give them a fighter’s mentality.”
In 2009, Williams released her autobiography Titled, My Life: Queen of the Court. The book tells us about her personal life and career in tennis. Williams also co-authored a book titled Venus and Serena: Serving from the Hip with her sister.
She voiced for “Snowplow Driver Hero” of the Disney channel show Higgly town Heroes, series 2005.
Not only a nail technician, but she also has her own line of nail polish.
In 2007, Serena appeared in the music video of “I Want You” by the American Rapper Common.
After winning her fifth Wimbledon singles title in 2012, tennis great John McEnroe declared her the greatest female player of all time.
In 2009, Serena was fined and placed on probation for allegedly threatening a lineswoman, but she quickly moved past the incident.
In 2013 at age 31, Serena Williams became the oldest female tennis player to be ranked number 1 tennis player.
Her net worth is $130 million. Serena Williams has earned more prize money than any other female player in the history. She earns $15-20 million per year outside of tennis endorsing companies like Nike and Kraft Foods.
